Pet Health Helpline needs Vet Techs!

This is a job answering questions about pet health that can be done remotely by anyone with “some clinical experience.”

This is an online posting about the positions we have available.  It is currently listed on NAVTA, but since we are local I would love be able to hire people in the surrounding communities to help us! We would like to have students who have some clinical experience so they can use their acquired knowledge to answer the inquiries.  They can email me their resume, or a note of their experience, I don't need anything fancy.  It also would make it MUCH easier for me to know what hours they are available, most of the technicians work about two hour shifts.

We need Vet Techs!
Work from home, on your hours answering questions from pet owners!

The Pet Health Helpline is a resource for Pet Owners to submit a question to our Pet Experts via the internet across a variety of websites. The Pet Expert position is a per diem position that pays $1.50 per question answered (most experts can answer 6-8 questions per hour depending on volume). You will be given access to an online platform where questions will be distributed to you during the hours you are assigned and in the “Ready” disposition. We normally ask that the expert is available for 2-3 hour shifts (longer if requested) a day available and ready to answer the questions that come in.

The questions that come across the platform vary and cover anything from behavior questions to diet questions, to questions about vomiting and diarrhea. The Pet Health Helpline does not diagnose or practice veterinary care; we simply offer in depth information based on the symptoms and information given and then direct the pet owner into a veterinary hospital. Anything related to poisoning, we refer immediately to a Veterinary Clinic or a special Pet Poison Helpline.

Boston Fellowship needed for Match Education!

Match Education
215 Forest Hills Street
Boston, MA 02130

Match Corps: Boston 2014-15 Urban Education Fellowship

Are you looking for an opportunity to serve in inner-city schools? Do you want a great gap-year before law school, medical school, or grad school, or before going into a career in the non-profit sector?

Match Corps: Boston is a one-year, full-time urban education fellowship program. It pairs Corps members with 6-7 students at Match High School, Match Middle School, Match Next or Match Community Day Elementary School. Corps members run small group or 1-on-1 tutorials, working to guarantee the academic success of Match students while building personal relationships with the students and their parents. This full-time service year program is designed to fully close the academic achievement gap between minority students and their non-minority peers, one student at a time.

Match Corps: Boston allows idealistic and dedicated young people to invest their time and energy in just a few students’ academic progress. Match Corps is not necessarily looking for the future teachers of America. We want future doctors, lawyers, MBAs, architects; we want majors from math, political science, literature, economics, engineering – anyone willing to work tirelessly for one year to erase the achievement gap.

Corps members who know they want to teach for at least two years in an urban charter school should opt in to Match Teacher Residency. Match Teacher Residency is our in-house, optional teacher training program. In MTR, Boston Corps members receive additional training on the weekends with the aim of becoming unusually effective first year teachers in high-poverty schools. Graduates of MTR go on to teach at some of the most highly regarded charter schools in the country and consistently outperform other first- and second-year teachers in the classroom. For more information about MTR, visit the website here: http://www.matcheducation.org/join-us/match-teacher-residency-boston
