<br />POSITION DESCRIPTION <br /><br /> Title: Production Planner<br /><br />Position Reports To: Production and Materials Planning Supervisor <br /><br />Basic Function: The Production Planner, under normal supervision, supports the apparel manufacturing process by providing capacity planning, order scheduling and production performance reporting. <br /><br /> <br />Essential Duties: <br /><br />1. Oversees the transition of product forecasts into achievable production and material plans. <br /><br /> 2. Coordinates with marker and cutting rooms while developing weekly and daily production schedules for cutting operations. <br /><br /> 3. Evaluates product and order forecasts to balance against expected capacity levels of manufacturing departments. <br /><br />4. Coordinates with materials procurement to ensure accuracy and availability of all materials in support of plans. <br /><br />5. Supports the coordination and report preparation for weekly and monthly production planning meetings with production, customer service, materials purchasing and select customers. <br /><br />6. Identifies when and where plans fail to meet goals and objectives and suggest actions designed to bring operations back into synchronization. <br /><br /> 7. Monitors status of finished goods inventory to ensure order completion is on time and safety stock levels are maintained. <br /><br /> 8. Maintains appropriate level of communication with internal customers with the goal of meeting or exceeding stated on-time delivery goals. <br /><br />9. Works with IT department to implement systems solutions to enhance capacity planning and production scheduling. <br /><br /> 10. Maintains historical production and order data in support of performance reporting and operational financial planning. <br /><br />11. Oversees providing accurate and timely planning information used in the creation or maintenance of product style master data used in ERP and shop floor control systems. <br /><br /> 12. Develops and maintains appropriate reports for planning and order management. <br /><br />13. Coordinates with primary customer to receive and verify their PO information, writes up and enters POs into company systems as needed <br /><br />Qualifications: <br /><br />Knowledge: A working level knowledge of computer systems and MS office software products is required. A basic knowledge of manufacturing planning and/or the apparel industry is a plus. <br /><br /> Experience: None required, but any experience in operational planning or in the apparel industry is preferred. <br /><br /> Skills/Aptitudes: Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to work effectively with internal and external customers. Ability to analyze data, production related issues, suggest corrective action and support implementation. Attention to detail, self-directed, hands-on, problem solving capabilities, and proficient with software (Advanced Excel, ERP/MRP/Planning systems) <br /><br />Working Conditions: Office and manufacturing environment. <br />Due to our explosive growth, Bark ‘N Leash is currently looking for part time staff – dog walkers, play group leaders and overnight staff to handle our customers in Belmont, Watertown, Waltham and parts of Newton.<br />
<br />Primary Duties & Responsibilities<br />• Give each dog love and attention during walks, play groups and overnights<br />• Pick up and drop off dogs from their homes<br />• Walk dogs on private and group on-leash neighborhood walks<br />• Maintain control and ensure safety of the dogs you are walking and those (humans and dogs) around them<br />• Maintain leadership of the pack of dogs (if walking multiple dogs at a time)<br />• Ensure security of client homes during pick up and drop off<br />• Respect client confidentiality- no one is allowed to join you when you are providing service to any Bark ‘N Leash clients<br />• Walk dogs outdoors in all weather conditions (anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour at a time)<br />• Transport dogs safely to and from their homes in your own vehicle<br />• Removal of any and all pet waste of the dogs in your care<br />• Provide a daily report card following each service to confirm Bark ‘N Leash services and to update the owner on your visit with their pet<br />• Take photos/videos of the dogs on each walk (so human clients can see how they are doing)<br />• Manage a schedule provided by the Pack Leader and stay in frequent contact<br />• For overnight staff, you will also be asked to complete the following tasks:<br />• Feed and administer meds<br />• Sleep in client homes<br />• Retrieve mail/packages, water plants and pick up after the pets<br /><br />

<br />This position assists in the management of calls that come in to the Animal Poison Control Center (APCC) hotline. When in this role, staff members obtain a complete history, document exposure circumstances in the electronic medical record, calculate dosages and use in-house protocols to either manage the case or escalate it to a veterinarian. <li>Responsible for implementing recruitment strategies that reflect new opportunities to reach qualified candidates and the evolving needs of the agency’s programs. </li>
<li>Track applicants throughout recruitment process, recording source, status and final disposition within recruiting software. </li>
<li>Participate in job fairs, media appearances, and networking events to promote open and upcoming positions and develop relationships within the community. </li>
<li>Create pipelines of applicants for recurring roles to ensure timely response to vacancies. </li>
<li>Continually evaluate and make recommendations as to how and where jobs should be marketed in order to attract qualified candidates. </li>
<li>Maintain relationships with staffing agencies to facilitate temporary placements as needed. </li>
<li>Assist in volunteer recruitment efforts as needed. </li>
<li>Perform other related duties as required.</li>
</ul>
<br />Minimum Requirements:<br />
<ul>
<li>Minimum of a high school diploma/GED, </li>
<li>three to five years previous experience in recruitment, interviewing and job placement required. </li>
<li>Bachelor’s degree and bilingual skills preferred. </li>
<li>Experience with applicant tracking systems a plus. </li>
<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills, </li>
<li>attention to detail and interpersonal skills required. </li>
<li>Must be able to work sensitively and effectively with individuals of diverse educational, socio-economic and cultural backgrounds.</li>
