The Harvard Summer Research Program in Kidney Medicine (HPKM) is a summer program for college undergraduates which offers 8 weeks of research, housing accommodations and $1000 stipend to participants. The Program will primarily be a research-based experience but will include a core curriculum that addresses the basic science and clinical fundamentals and challenges in the field. The Program will span the nephrology divisions of four Harvard-affiliated hospitals – Brigham and Women’s Hospital (BWH), Bethel Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC), Boston’s Children’s Hospital (BCH) and Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH). The Program will run for 8 weeks each summer and will enroll 16 students per session.

• Attend weekly core curriculum sessions which introduces the functions and dysfunctions of the kidney
• Present your research at a national symposium in Nashville, TN
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS
• Must be a US citizen or permanent resident
• Must be enrolled in an undergraduate degree program
• Must be committed to entire 8+ week program (June 1 –August 1)
