Harpoon Six-Pack Program
Department
Sales/Marketing
Description
PROGRAM SUMMARY
Internally known as the "Six Pack" Program, Harpoon’s Professional Development Program began in 1996 as a way to attract and train highly accomplished people with one or more years of professional experience but with little or no beer industry exposure.
It is a full-time paid training program designed to teach individuals all aspects of the brewing business. The program is six to eight weeks long and exposes trainees on a rotating basis to the following areas: sales, merchandising, crew driving and promotions, event management, tour-giving, draft beer maintenance, brewing and packaging, beer tasting and appreciation.
PROGRAM OBJECTIVE
The goal is to train individuals to be sales and marketing professionals in the beer industry. By evaluating skills and attitude in a variety of settings, we look for the right functional and geographic fit for each candidate in the areas of sales, marketing, event management or sales administration. There is no guarantee of a permanent position for poor performers.
