The incumbent performs assigned duties under the direction of an experienced staff member to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures, and standards required for performance of the departmental duties. He/She receives training and performs tasks in one of several departments to become familiar with the line of business and company policies and practices. He/She may be trained in functions and operations of related departments to facilitate subsequent transferability between departments and to provide greater experience opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
I. Architectural Design and Planning
• Assist with developing furniture layouts.
• Assist with obtaining layout plan approval from line of business.
• Assist with developing budget estimates for entire scope of work.
• Assist with developing project schedule
• Assist with developing internal approval documents.
• Assist with developing as required construction documents, including drawings, specifications and project manual.
• Assist in verifying & updating CAD floor plans in Boston, Everett & Westborough facilities
II. Construction Management
• Assist with developing bid documents.
• Assist with developing purchase and change orders
• Assist with ensuring that construction adheres to approved drawings and budget.
• Assist with supervising move coordination.
• Assist with coordinating and managing final project close out statement.
• Assist with performing related duties as required
III. Reporting Requirements
• Assist with filing originals of all executed contracts, letters of agreement, proposal and change orders to the GSS Controller.
• Assist with providing performance reports on architects, engineers, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Assist with internal Project Close-out documentation
IV. Administrative Support
• Assist with processing invoices
• Assist with organizing & filing paper documentation
• Assist in updating & purging electronic files as necessary
• Assist in cataloguing existing furniture inventory
Scope: Responsible for assisting with developing major and small construction projects and providing support for daily requests and administrative work.
