Postmortem Laboratory Coordinator
Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine Section of Pathology in North Grafton seeks applications for a full-time Postmortem Laboratory Coordinator. The successful applicant will manage daily operations of the postmortem laboratory including but not limited to: cadaver receiving and disposition, assisting pathologists and residents with autopsies/necropsies, training veterinary students in autopsy technique, maintaining the autopsy suite in scrupulously clean and orderly condition, ordering and maintaining equipment and supplies, interfacing with clinical services, and complying with all safety and biohazard requirements. The preferred candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in animal science, biology, preveterinary medicine, or a related discipline; however, applicants with other suitable experience will be considered. The successful candidate will show initiative and be able to work independently with stakeholders including hospital services, clients and referring veterinarians. Requires strong written and oral communication skills, ability to work in a busy veterinary hospital setting, and familiarity with Microsoft Office, e-mail and web-based training. Hours are 8 am to 4 pm Monday - Friday.
