Responsibilities:
- Development of first through production patterns using Gerber
- Interpret designer sketches into first digital patterns
- Work closely with manufacturing team to resolve issues, and recommend changes to product to improve quality and manufacturability
- Attend fit sessions and revise patterns to improve garment fit
Develop fit standards to ensure consistency throughout product lines
- Grade production patterns according to fit standards
- Create production markers for cutting
- Manage junior level pattern making/technical design members
Qualifications:
- Experience making first patterns, production patterns, grading and markers using Gerber
- Menswear experience required
- Experience with outerwear and men’s tailored clothing preferred
- Strong knowledge of apparel construction methods
- Experience working with a variety of textiles and knowledge of how various materials impact patterns and construction methods
