Waverley
Knobs Entertainment is a Boston-based film & video production
company focusing on creative films and promotional productions for
artists & businesses. Our mission is to create engaging and
thought-provoking movies, music videos and commercial videos, within a
personal, collaborative process with our cast, crew and clients.
The office is located in Allston, MA and is accessible by public transportation.
DESCRIPTION:
This
internship is a perfect fit for an intern interested in film research
and distribution, film financing opportunities, small businesses, and/or
starting your own company.
Waverley Knobs
Entertainment is a hands-on learning environment in which interns will
learn how a film production company creates and implements their
distribution and financing strategies. Interns will obtain in-depth
knowledge of film distribution methods and strategies, how to secure key
film financing, how to engage sponsors and executive producers, and
improve their research and development skills.
Intern
projects will include high-level assignments with direct impact on
business results. This is a great opportunity to work with a start-up
and learn all aspects of building a business. We promote creativity and
self-starters with room for self-designed and led projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
· conduct research on film distribution, screenings and fundraising opportunities
· assist with film opportunities, such as coordinating screenings or fundraising events
· support and strengthen our fundraising program
· perform outreach and thank-you correspondence
· maintain an updated sponsor/donor database
· maintain consistency in our branding
· contribute original content to website and newsletter
HOURS AND CREDIT:
This
is an unpaid internship for credit. Please check with your academic
department about their requirements regarding internships.
Internship
hours must be between Monday – Friday and the hours of 10 am – 6:00 pm,
totaling a minimum of 16 hours per week. Must be available at least 1-2
days per week to work in the office; the rest of the time commitment
can be done off-site via telecommuting.

· Interest and enthusiasm for film research and/or development
· Interest in film and/or video production
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Basic knowledge of databases
· Interest and/or experience in fundraising, and working with sponsors and donors = a plus!
· Library science interest and/or coursework = a plus!
