We are excited to share the enclosed summer employment information specifically for students in EQUINE STUDIES, ANIMAL SCIENCE, AND EQUESTRIAN SPORTS. We are seeking female students to fill positions that involve working with young girls and managing a seasonal horse program.

We have opportunities for a HORSEBACK RIDING DIRECTOR or CAMP COUNSELOR/HORSEBACK RIDING INSTRUCTOR.

Horseback Riding Director:

1. Plan, direct and supervise a safe and fun Horseback Riding program
2. Train and supervise horseback riding staff
3. Manage 15 horses, supervise physical facilities (barn and riding rings) and equipment in the Horseback Riding program area

Camp Counselor/Horseback Riding Instructor

1. Work with a co-counselor to direct the program for 8 campers
2. Teach in the horseback riding program and perform barn chores
3. teach in other activity areas at camp

 Camp WeHaKee has girls who come to camp for 2, 4, or 6 weeks. Many of our girls are enrolled in our horseback riding program. We need staff that can work effectively with girls and provide a safe and skill-based equestrian program. All of our staff participate in other activities at the camp. Activities at WeHaKee include tennis, swimming, sailing, canoeing, dance, theater, outdoor camping & tripping, and much more!
