Due to our explosive growth, Bark ‘N Leash is currently looking for part time staff – dog walkers, play group leaders and overnight staff to handle our customers in Belmont, Watertown, Waltham and parts of Newton.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities
• Give each dog love and attention during walks, play groups and overnights
• Pick up and drop off dogs from their homes
• Walk dogs on private and group on-leash neighborhood walks
• Maintain control and ensure safety of the dogs you are walking and those (humans and dogs) around them
• Maintain leadership of the pack of dogs (if walking multiple dogs at a time)
• Ensure security of client homes during pick up and drop off
• Respect client confidentiality- no one is allowed to join you when you are providing service to any Bark ‘N Leash clients
• Walk dogs outdoors in all weather conditions (anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour at a time)
• Transport dogs safely to and from their homes in your own vehicle
• Removal of any and all pet waste of the dogs in your care
• Provide a daily report card following each service to confirm Bark ‘N Leash services and to update the owner on your visit with their pet
• Take photos/videos of the dogs on each walk (so human clients can see how they are doing)
• Manage a schedule provided by the Pack Leader and stay in frequent contact
• For overnight staff, you will also be asked to complete the following tasks:
• Feed and administer meds
• Sleep in client homes
• Retrieve mail/packages, water plants and pick up after the pets

Minimum Job Requirements
• Must be at least 18 years old and be physically fit
• Must own a reliable car
• Must own a cell phone
• Live in close proximity to our customers
• Be available between 10-4 during the week as well as the occasional evening or overnight sleeping shift

If you meet all of the criteria and are under consideration, you will be subject to a background check. You must complete a company provided First Aid & CPR Training for animals prior to working with Bark ‘N Leash.
