Oasis Financial Services, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. in Hopkinton MA, is selecting highly motivated college sophomores, juniors, and seniors who wish to develop business and client management skills. This internship opportunity is available for students who wish to receive college course credit for their time or would like to utilize this opportunity as solely a paid internship. Interns will be expected to fulfill basic office duties while learning and gaining client and business management skills. Interns will be asked to complete meeting prep, sit in on client meetings, and attend informational meetings with wholesalers to develop a clear understanding of the financial services industry. While participating in this program, interns will be involved in a hands-on learning environment, having the opportunity to participate in and prepare for client meetings with financial advisors. Additionally, interns will learn about the importance of compliance in the financial industry. Other opportunities include: Letters of recommendation, licensing, sponsorship possibilities, and the potential for direct career opportunities

Responsibilities Includes:
• Maintaining work flow systems, files and databases
• Managing new and concurrent client files
• Client meeting prep work and post meeting follow-up
• Attending mentor / educational sessions used to help learn about the financial services industry, products, and strategies for successful financial planning
• Office duties include scanning/ filing / mailing

Qualifications:
• Finance or business major field of study
• Detail oriented
• Organized

Hourly Requirements:
• Exact work times are flexible; however, interns must work enough hours to satisfy the course credit through their school’s program. Students working for college course credit will not be required to work more hours than required for course credit. Student who chose to utilize this opportunity as solely a paid internship must be able to dedicate a minimum of 6 hours a week.

Transportation Requirements:
• Interns must have a car available to commute to and from the office. Parking is available.
