Position Overview

Newton Community Service Center (NCSC) is a multi-service agency seeking outstanding caring Teachers to join our Early Education & Care Infant and Toddler Programs. As a NAEYC Accredited and Children's Hospital T. Berry Brazelton Touchpoints Center, NCSC is a vibrant community where joy, learning, creativity and meaningful relationships flourish because our programs deeply respect and nurture the potential that exists in each child, teacher and family.

Lead Teachers have overall responsibility for the operation of his/her classroom, setting the tone and environmental expectations, providing leadership and focus for the team, mentoring for teachers and assistant teachers in the classroom, and models communication with families.

Teachers take an active role in the day to day operation of the classroom through planning, teaching, and communicating with staff members, children, and families.

Lead Teacher Qualifications
· EEC Lead Teacher Certified
· Bachelor’s Degree in Early Education, Elementary Education or similar field
· Significant prior experience working in early childhood settings

Teacher Qualifications

· EEC Teacher Certified
· Associates Degree in Early Education, Elementary Education or similar field, OR are working towards one
· Prior experience working in early childhood settings
