Position Title: Campaign Intern
The Campaign to Elect Leland Cheung for Lieutenant Governor is currently seeking motivated individuals who are interested in interning for our campaign. Leland has worked as a City Councilor for the City of Cambridge Massachusetts since 2009 and during his tenure has advocated for:
-job growth
-government transparency
-green energy projects
-affordable housing for all residents of Cambridge
-keeping Massachusetts educated students here
-creating and supporting quality public education programs
-ensuring the needs of students by the city
Marshall Ganz, Leland’s adviser while attending Kennedy School of Government, provided a model that his program has established and is running. Leland’s approach to merging together business and residential community members through open dialogue has continued and expanded the growth of one of the nation’s leaders in the technology and innovation industry. Cambridge’s success is dependent on its strong, tightly woven community. Leland has fought to maintain social equality and justice through expanding rights of women, immigrants, LGBT and other minority groups within the city. Leland’s dedication to progressive growth in the state of Massachusetts has led him to seek election for the office of Lieutenant Governor.
Our goal is to bring together a campaign team that will be active within the Commonwealth in garnering support for Leland in this year’s race for Lieutenant Governor. Students of any major or degree program are welcome to apply.
