Position Title: Graphic Design Intern
The Bike Union has a brand and a look that helps build community and win campaigns for better biking. The Graphic Design Intern helps create flyers for public meetings and events, informative brochures that help get more people riding bikes, and creative fundraising appeals. If you are proficient with the Adobe CS suite and have a very good eye for design, you have the power to greatly benefit the Union's mission of promoting the bicycle in urban Boston. As with all internships at the Union—the responsibility for other office and event work is shared.
Qualifications for all interns:
• Commitment to the Union's mission to promote the bicycle.
• Happy to work in a small tight-knit team for a rapidly growing organization.
• Organized and self motivated.
• Ability to solve problems and work without direct supervision when necessary
• Residence within the greater Boston area.
• Must be able to spend at least one full day (10am-6pm) in the office each week, two days or more preferred
Bonus Points for:
• Fluency in Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Cape Verdean Crioulo, Cantonese, Mandarin, Haitian Kreyól, or Vietnamese.
• Sales, customer service, or fundraising experience.
• Tech savvy of all kinds.
• City planning or bike advocacy background.
• Experience or expertise in GIS
• Enthusiasm for biking.
• Knowledge of Boston.
