Corporate Recovery Specialist

Position Overview
A Corporate Recovery Specialist (“CRS”) manages a limited number of large corporate client accounts. In this role, he/she assists clients with all aspects of unclaimed funds identification and recovery. Responsibilities include: searching online databases and TLSG’s internal proprietary database to locate unclaimed funds, researching and preparing relevant supporting documentation, creating and following up on applications for payment of property, and corresponding with clients. A CRS will also be responsible for preparing monthly status reports, resolving specific client and claim related issues, and maintaining clients’ account records.

 Responsibilities
• Searching: Identifying relevant resources, performing extensive research and analyzing research results to determine the viability of each claim.
• Data Entry: Frequently updating, and maintaining, detailed Excel spreadsheets of search results and creating associated contacts in TLSG’s contact management software (“ACT!”) as well as updating and sustaining research notes in ACT!.
• Claims Processing: Preparing all necessary paperwork to submit a successful application for the payment of unclaimed funds. Following up, by both email and telephone, on the progress of submitted applications through the payment of funds. Recording claim notes, correcting any deficiencies that are preventing claims from being paid and preparing the back up for invoicing to the finance team.
• Client Services: Developing a clear understanding of assigned clients’ businesses and needs in order to service them effectively. Regularly communicating with clients, by both email and telephone.
• Communication: Drafting cover letters, composing emails, and maintaining detailed notes of conversations and action plans. Conversing with clients, other corporations and government agencies by phone.

Requirements
• A Bachelor’s Degree.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office 2013 (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

• Familiarity with Contact Management System.
• Demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively prioritize.

• Must be a team player while being able to work independently.
• Possess personable, yet assertive phone skills along with a courteous phone demeanor.

• Extraordinary capacity to produce detailed and accurate notes and excel spreadsheets.
Preferred Skills/Competencies
• Ability to provide creative ideas to streamline processes and procedures.
• Ability to “think outside of the box” in order to problem solve.
• Customer service and/or claims processing experience.

Compensation
This is a full-time salaried position with benefits. Salary range $37,000-$40,000. Salary is commensurate with level of expertise and years of experience.
