Animal Medical Center of New England is currently accepting applications for full time Emergency/ICU Technicians. Our goal is to help you develop to your fullest potential, while you help us to provide the highest level of veterinary emergency care in a friendly and compassionate environment.

We are AAHA-accredited, multi-doctor hybrid practice in Nashua, New Hampshire—located just 35 miles North of Boston. We’ve been serving the local community for more than 25 years!

We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, reliable, flexible, detail oriented, and a team player is a must. Emergency/ICU technicians perform patient triage and stabilization; client care and communication; diagnostics, nursing care, and anesthetic monitoring; and assist in surgical procedures.

Must be proficient in phlebotomy, IM, SQ, IV injections and catheter placement. Experience in performing in-house diagnostics including in-house fecal analysis, urinalysis, CBC, Chemistry, blood smears, ear and fungal analysis and radiography. Knowledgeable in veterinary medicine, commonly used medications and protocols. Proficient anesthetic skills. Applicant must have strong background in monitoring anesthesia and anesthetic protocols. Confident in restraint and patient handling. Must be able to lift 40lbs, stand for extended periods of time and can effectively manage fractious patients. Excellent communication skills and can answer client questions regarding disease processes, post-op patient care and related medical questions/concerns. Applicant must conduct oneself in a confident and professional manner.

Candidates must demonstrate skill and have at least 3 years ER/ICU experience. A Certified Veterinary Technician (C.V.T.) is preferable. This position will involve working shifts that include evenings, nights, weekends, or holidays as our emergency service receives cases 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The exact schedule will depend on the scheduling need at the time of hire.
