Position Title: Business & Marketing Intern
Burst Fall Internship for Course Credit: Gain true business experience at the heart of the digital media revolution, BOSTON, MA
Are you interested in media, mobile technology, or digital marketing? How about the intersection of the three? Come to work with a group of gifted engineers and successful entrepreneurs who have sold business to ESPN, Sports Illustrated/Time Warner and the Active Network and Vonage!
Burst is an early stage start-up working on a number of technology solutions for the sourcing and display of media, particularly video captured on mobile devices. Burst is used primarily by television broadcasters who want more authentic, behind-the-scenes, real-time video on both their digital and TV platforms and is looking for college and business students to join the team and help transform the way mobile media is sourced and monetized. We need smart, resourceful interns who are comfortable with working on a variety of projects from helping with the business aspects of Burst, to helping test our product.
Our team is genuinely committed to staffing interns on projects that help grow his/her professional skill set. The potential areas to be covered include, but are not limited to:
-Assessing the mobile video evolving landscape
-Expanding competitive analysis and competitive landscape
-Researching potential clients and key statistics with respect to the television, online video, or other relevant area
-Creating presentations to best display Bursts capabilities & advantages
-Helping test the Burst application and website
-Tracking key movements in the media industry
-Evaluating the analytics offered to customers and account support
Background/Skills Preferred:
-Strong research & writing skills
-Proficiency & creativity in PowerPoint or Keynote and social media platforms
-Interest in marketing & advertising
-Interest in mobile and media technologies is preferred
-Interest in finance/business development is preferred
