Position Overview
Newton Community Service Center (NCSC) is a multi-service agency seeking outstanding caring teachers. As a NAEYC Accredited and Children's Hospital T. Berry Brazelton Touchpoints Center, NCSC is a vibrant community where joy, learning, creativity and meaningful relationships flourish because our programs deeply respect and nurture the potential that exists in each child, teacher and family.

Preschool teachers must have:
• Associates Degree in Early Education, Elementary Education or similar field, OR are working towards one
• EEC Teacher Certification
  Preschool teachers take an active role in the day-to-day operation of the classroom through planning, teaching, and communicating with staff members, children, and families.

• A gentle, caring, and nurturing approach to children and adults
• Responsible, reliable, and trustworthy
• Engaging and truly interested in the children and families in one's care
• A willingness to learn about diversity and to be respectful of differences as well as similarities of individuals, families, and cultures

Newton Community Service Center (NCSC) strengthens children, families and the community through educational programs and a network of support services.

Our expansive facility is equipped with newly renovated infant classrooms, a toddler sized playground, summer spray pool, and open field. When foul weather keeps us indoors, children play in our full-sized auditorium and gymnasium equipped with scooters, balls and tumbling equipment.
With the recent addition of The Library at NCSC, Early Education & Childcare, Early Literacy Services and the Parents Program have opportunities to engage in creative and interactive literacy experiences or parenting support using shared resources. In addition to supplementing NCSC’s classroom literacy curriculum, the Library offers a collection of books on parenting and early education and a conference table for parent meetings and adult consultation.
