Parkway Veterinary Hospital is a busy, growing 4-doctor general practice, looking to hire an educated, motivated veterinary assistant AND technician.
Our services include preventative care, elective surgeries, ultrasound, radiology, and acupuncture. We are equipped with in-house laboratory equipment, digital X-ray, and digital dental X-ray. As our practice expands, we are seeking a full time assistant to help meet the needs of our doctors, technicians, and clients.
Duties for assistant would include inputting information into the computer, restraint, cleaning, checking messages, husbandry, and assisting doctors and technicians as needed. Previous experience preferred but not required. Enrollment in or completion of a veterinary assistant course required.
Duties for technician would include monitoring anesthesia, providing attentive pre and post operative care, drawing blood, placing catheters, running lab work, taking radiographs, filling prescriptions, communicating with clients, and assisting doctors and other technicians as needed. CVT and degree in animal science preferred but not required. Small animal medicine experience required.
IDEAL CANDIDATES FOR BOTH POSITIONS must be self motivated and compassionate with a positive attitude and excellent communication skills. Must be willing to work Saturdays.
