Senior Fashion Jewelry Designer – Greater Providence Area

THE COMPANY: Our client is a full service highly successful designer and manufacturer of high-end fashion jewelry and accessories sold to leading specialty stores and large retailers.

THE POSITION: The Jewelry Designer must be knowledgeable of jewelry production methods, proficient in hand sketching and rendering and able to design by using hand manipulation. This creative designer will interpret trends and provide the design direction and execution for specific accounts while coordinate the design process to ensure success. The job focus will be to produce innovative and unique on-target jewelry samples for jewelry collections catering to the young and trend junior market.

THE CANDIDATE: Requires a minimum of 5-7 years in fashion jewelry design with some knowledge of manufacturing, product development, sourcing costing, quality, sample making, merchandising, sales and account management. Should be able to sketch or draw from concept and have the ability to design by manipulation using a variety of metals and jewelry components such as beads, wire and chains to create eye catching designs for various retail collections. Will conduct market research and display unique artistic qualities to properly interpret fashion trends while using the right colorways and materials to design highly sought after jewelry. Must have the creative talent, project management skills and motivation to be an outstanding performer in a challenging and fast-paced work environment. The selected candidate should have leadership skills and some design supervision background.
