LEAD TEACHERS---Early Childhood Education
MIXED CLASSROOM Full-time (40 hrs.) year-round Lead Teacher needed to start right away in new classroom of older toddlers and young preschoolers. This room will have 9 students with a Lead Teacher and 2 Teachers. Dual EEC licensure as both Lead Teacher Infants/Toddler and Lead Teacher Preschool required.
PRESCHOOL --2 openings--Full-time (35 - 40 hrs.) Must be licensed by EEC as Preschool Lead Teacher. One position is available immediately; the second position will be available this summer.
Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education required. Knowledge of Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold helpful; experience with HEAD START preferred.
Who we are: Communities United, Inc. is a 43 year old non-profit agency whose mission is to provide high quality early education and other services to children and their families. We have Creative Start programs in Waltham, Arlington, Woburn, Watertown and Newton. Our programs comply with HEAD START performance standards and EEC regulations. Our classrooms are staffed by a Lead Teacher and 1-2 Teachers; the teachers are supported by an Education Manager, Center Administrator, Social Worker and Educator/Family Support Specialist.

We provide in-house training as well as assistance for workshops and conferences. Rate of pay for Lead Teachers: $16.80/hr. plus, depending on level of education.
Arlington Creative Start is located on Massachusetts Avenue, near Spy Pond. The program is expanding; by fall 2014 we will have four classrooms open.
