Pet Health Helpline needs Vet Techs!

This is a job answering questions about pet health that can be done remotely by anyone with “some clinical experience.”

This is an online posting about the positions we have available.  It is currently listed on NAVTA, but since we are local I would love be able to hire people in the surrounding communities to help us! We would like to have students who have some clinical experience so they can use their acquired knowledge to answer the inquiries.  They can email me their resume, or a note of their experience, I don't need anything fancy.  It also would make it MUCH easier for me to know what hours they are available, most of the technicians work about two hour shifts.

We need Vet Techs!
Work from home, on your hours answering questions from pet owners!

The Pet Health Helpline is a resource for Pet Owners to submit a question to our Pet Experts via the internet across a variety of websites. The Pet Expert position is a per diem position that pays $1.50 per question answered (most experts can answer 6-8 questions per hour depending on volume). You will be given access to an online platform where questions will be distributed to you during the hours you are assigned and in the “Ready” disposition. We normally ask that the expert is available for 2-3 hour shifts (longer if requested) a day available and ready to answer the questions that come in.

The questions that come across the platform vary and cover anything from behavior questions to diet questions, to questions about vomiting and diarrhea. The Pet Health Helpline does not diagnose or practice veterinary care; we simply offer in depth information based on the symptoms and information given and then direct the pet owner into a veterinary hospital. Anything related to poisoning, we refer immediately to a Veterinary Clinic or a special Pet Poison Helpline.
