Position Summary:Do you have a passion for fashion? And experience in eCommerce Web design? Distinctive Apparel Inc.’s eCommerce team is in search of a Web Designer for our fast-paced team in a dynamic atmosphere.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· With guidance from the Sr. Web Designer, design intuitive, engaging, and brand-consistent homepages and emails.
· Design in a variety of styles and maintain consistently high standards of work that will enhance the Distinctive Apparel Inc. brands.
· Develop designs in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality. Must be able to shift priorities to meet deadlines based on changing calendars.
· Translate business requirements into concepts and elegant user interface design
· Complete all assigned work on-time, on-strategy, & on-budget and regularly report project status to Sr. Web Designer, e-commerce.
· Stay current on all industry trends, contribute to swipe library and concepts.
· Think and articulate both verbally and visually when working with/without other creatives
· Assist on photo shoots.
Qualifications:
· Rock solid skills in graphic design, with an eye for typography, composition, layout, color, and a pixel-level attention to detail .
· Intimate knowledge with the entire Adobe CS6 suite (especially InDesign, Photoshop & Bridge). Flash a plus
· Working knowledge of HTML, DHTML, CSS and coding.
· Must have an appreciation for clean, simple, usable interfaces.
· A solid understanding of designing intuitive site functionality, interaction, site architecture and navigation.
· Ability to juggle multiple projects, good time management skills and positive attitude.
· Good natured and flexible.
· Understands what great value is and delivers that message to our consumers.
Experience & Skills:
· 3+ years of designing websites and digital marketing (email, online ads, social marketing elements, etc). E-commerce experience a bonus.
· Bachelor’s degree required in design-related discipline: Graphic or Interface design.
· Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
· Able to multi-task and prioritize deadlines and have a strong eye for detail.
· Solid written and verbal communication skills, can intelligently persuade others.
· Work samples or link to portfolio REQUIRED to be considered.
