Willow Path Childcare is a thriving childcare center serving the Jamaica Plain, Roslindale, West Roxbury, and Brookline communities. We offer Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, and Kindergartner programs. We focus on learning through play and offer a wide variety of enrichment programs including gym, music, nature discovery and a Read Boston Literacy program. We provide a warm and nurturing environment that encourages exploration, discovery, and creativity while promoting growth and learning.
Position responsibilities:
• Create an environment responsive to children's needs
• Provide balanced activities
• Support independence and provide choices
• Promote a non-discriminatory environment
• Develop a curriculum that responds to physical, social, cognitive, and emotional needs
• and gross/fine motor skills, indoor/outdoor activities, and active/quiet time
• Observe and facilitate children's play
• Document children's accomplishments
• Demonstrate knowledge of social, emotional, and cognitive development
• Contribute to the teaching team through collaboration on curriculum planning

Requirements:
• Must be 21 years of age
• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
• At least 2+ years of practical work experience as a teacher, camp counselor, after school program assistant, etc.
• State certified EEC (substitutions applicable) required
• Must meet federal and state requirements for employment
• Must maintain credentials for the position (ongoing training)
• A minimum of three college credits in early childhood education (Child Psychology or Developmental Psychology)
• A minimum of 9 months supervised work experience
• To qualify for as a Toddler School Teacher, you must have at least 3 months supervised experience or a supervised practicum with the appropriate age group for which college credit is earned.

We are open from 7AM to 6PM Monday- Friday. We are looking for someone with a flexible schedule available to work either 7-3:30, 8:30-5, or 9:30-6 shift, 40 hours.
